Clarinet Notes
Once you have your clarinet, know how to take care of it, and can play air through your instrument comfortably, you need to start learning note names and fingerings.
These are all of the note names and fingerings. If you have noticed there are alternate fingerings for certain notes. Using these in certain situations, like chromatic scales and in musical pieces, will make it a lot smoother of a transition between notes.
When you start to play notes, start with open G and walk your fingers down your instrument while learning the note names. Once you can play the notes all the way down to low E, start walking your fingers up your instrument until you can play B♭. Once you hit B♮you need to learn how to cross the break, in other terms, learn how to play with the register key. Starting out as a beginner, you are only expected to be able to play B♮ and C. Just practice playing all the notes you can, and eventually you will get the hang of it.
